New PC

Postby Xeno378 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 10:40 pm

I'm looking in to getting a new PC. Any suggestions on manufacturer or anything else?

Preferably a desktop with some decent power to play current games. Decent, nothing high-end or anything. I'd like to keep it around or below 750-800.

dell xps8100 series might be alright for you, it might cost a little more if you get a decent video card though

you are looking close to a grand if you get a processor upgrade and decent video card.

why not build it yourself it might be cheaper if anything?

Not really sure how to, tbh. I was looking at Dell, HP, and Gateway though.

you could maybe try looking up a custom built machine from places like ibuypower.com

i know people who have purchased from there and had good experiences.

Not to be a dick, but it's shockingly easy to build a PC. I still hardly have any idea what's going on with mine and I pieced it together.

You're such a dick, Mort. :P So what, I just buy all separate components and piece it together myself?

So I'm steering away from building my own PC just because I'm lazy. I'm looking at stuff on Amazon and Newegg though. What are you guys' thoughts on Acer and Toshiba computers? They reliable? Good performance?

I appreciate that. What about Asus? Also, just out of curiosity, if you were to buy a pre-built PC, which brand would you go with?

I wouldn't buy an amd processor machine, and you don't want anything from intel unless it has an i on the processor.

why buy old technology that's about to become obsolete.

Why no AMD, and I understand what you mean about obsolete tech, but also remember on a pretty tight budget. :( Oh yeah, and what about CyberpowerPC? Yes or no?
